BASEL, Switzerland -- Roger Federer eased to victory in the first round at his hometown Swiss Indoors event on Monday, beating Adrian Mannarino of France 6-4, 6-2. Federer swept the final five games against the 60th-ranked Mannarino to win in 1 hour, 12 minutes.
